But this I
say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Every man according as he pur poseth in his heart,
so let him give; not grudgingly, or
of necessity, for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound
toward you; that ye, always having
all sufficiency in all things, may abound to ever good work: (As it is written, He hath dispersed
abroad; he hath given to the poor:

Your Heavenly Account
Lay not up for yourselves
treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves
break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither
moth nor rust doth corrupt,
and where thieves
do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore
thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if
thine eye be evil,
thy whole body shall be full of dark ness.
If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! (Matthew
6:19-23).
The Established Covenant and the Established Heart
God has established
His covenant
in the earth. Everything
He does is deter mined by this covenant. Jesus of Nazareth was born into this world, died on the cross, went to hell, paid the
sin price, and was raised from the dead because of the
covenant God made with man. God does not show partiality by choosing certain
people to save or to heal; His blessings are
for all the people who
meet the conditions of the covenant
(see
1 Peter 2:24).
The Laws of Prosperity
As we begin this study of prosperity and how it functions according to the Word of God, let’s read the basic scriptures on which our whole study is founded.
Let me mention here that we are putting
the Word of God first and foremost throughout
this study, not what we think it says, but what it actually says! When we see it in the Word, believe
it, and begin to act on it, faith is created.
“Faith cometh by
hearing, and hearing by
the word of God”
(Romans 10:17).
The True Test of Your Gospel
The True Test
of
Your Gospel
Each person’s belief in the gospel is influenced
and
shaped by their exposure to
it
and by the extent to which
their mind has been
renewed, but unfortunately also by the earthly traditions they still
hold
on
to.
…making the Word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have delivered. (Mar 7:13 NKJV)
Paul the apostle, who wrote most of the New Testament, preached
a gospel that was revealed
to him directly
from God.
When Did the Old Testament End?
When Did the Old Testament End?
The Bible
speaks numerous times about believers being heirs of God, or about them having
an inheritance.
And if we are
children, then
we are heirs; heirs of God and joint-heirs with
Christ; so that if we
suffer with
Him, we may also be
glorified together. (Rom 8:17 NKJV)
…giving
thanks to
the Father, who
has
made us meet to be
partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light. (Col 1:12
NKJV)
Now it logically follows that in
order for us to become
heirs of God, He
had to
have a testament that specified that we would
inherit from Him. The Bible has two Testaments, namely the Old and
New Testament. Both
the
Hebrew and Greek words used for “testament” in the Bible can also be translated to mean “covenant”.
Whenever the
context had
to do
with relationship, it was translated as “covenant”. Whenever the
context was about inheritance, it was translated as “testament”:
The Law Arouses Sin
The Law Arouses Sin
If a married man were to go on a business trip to a different country and one night after work, while he was sitting in a pub sipping a drink, he was approached by a
very attractive
woman with “cruel intentions”, what would be this man’s motive for staying true to his wife? The ring on his finger? The piece of paper that he signed on his wedding day? No! These external things will never keep a person from committing adultery.
The
strongest motivation for the husband
to remain true to
his wife
would be if he loved her.
Did Jesus End the Law or Not?
Matt 5:17-18 - Did Jesus End the Law or Not?
Many people who still believe they have to live according to the Old Covenant Laws hav e thrown Matthew
5:17-18 at preachers of the grace
message to try and prove their case. But what does the Bible really say about living under the law and whether we
are still
bound to it?
“Do not think that I came to destroy the law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till Heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the
law
till
all
is
fulfilled. (Matt 5:17-18 NKJV)
Peter Ditzel from Word
of
His Grace1 explains these
two verses as follows:
